I didn't expect to see Elle's story continue so soon! It is only four issues long, though.

Damn that is awesome. Dunno whether to take this news as indication that Season 2 is definitely happening or this comics will just take the place of what they would have done for the show. But I'll take what I can.
Since it is only a four-issue run, I kind of want to lean toward this being a segue of sorts from Season 1 to 2. And if 2 doesn't happen, then I guess it becomes a follow-up comic.
Yeah if this had been written by one of the writers on the show it might have indicated this as being a replacement for Season 2. As it is, at least this comic won't be throwing any five-minute clip shows at us, haha.
I'm wondering (and kind of hoping) that this somehow ties into or leads up to Blade Runner 2039 since there are only seven years between Black Lotus (2032) and 2039. Add to that the fact that there still hasn't been any info released about 2039 aside from its confirmation. Could be interesting having Elle cross paths with Ash and Freysa.
To say nothing about this all connecting back to Blade Runner 2099. Hoping Michael Green throws us a bone when he works on that show.
Weird description from Penguin Random House Canada:
Why is Niander Wallace called Nia? Is he really heir to the Tyrell empire? Luv's name is misspelled. And if this description is accurate (haha), the "new replicant" that they've been teasing is the Nexus-9, which has already been seen in 2049.
Only interesting thing (beyond the oddities) is I guess the collected edition is subtitled "Leaving L.A."
Looks as if Issue 1 is getting delayed to August 10. At least my wallet can rest. I plan to grab that blank variant for sure. https://www.previewsworld.com/Catalog/APR221833
