Don't know if this means anything for 2033: Labyrinth.
Edit: The game's director has indicated on LinkedIn that she's left the company, so it doesn't look great for this game.

My main thing is that nothing in any Blade Runner material explicitly references Soldier in any way. And although Anderson may have intended it to be set in the Blade Runner universe, the production companies may or may not have seen it that way. It certainly wasn't marketed as being a spinoff/sidequel.
While the Blade Runner films and Soldier are distributed by Warner Bros, the Blade Runner IP itself was owned by the Blade Runner Partnership from 1982 to 2012, and they had no involvement in Soldier whatsoever and they would have had to sign off on it being officially part of that universe. Alcon Entertainment purchased the Blade Runner IP in 2012, and that did not include Soldier.
So it doesn't appear to be officially part of BR, but at the same time, nobody with any real say is going out of their way to say it's not at all connected. And with that said, I don't personally have any issue with it remaining on the wiki.

Straight from the horse's mouth. It appears the connections to Blade Runner didn't come from Peoples, but rather others involved with Soldier (such as director Paul W.S. Anderson).
So the question comes up again - should we keep Soldier included here? Personally I lean toward no at this point, since the connection adds up to just a collection of easter eggs. If we were to get rid of Soldier, I'd probably offload our few Soldier pages to another wiki devoted to Soldier, so it doesn't go to waste. I'd keep just the Soldier article since the BR connection is popular enough to warrant it.
Any thoughts from anyone else on this very active discussions board?

Yeah, it really should have been Ash instead of whoever it is.
None that I'm aware of fully meet the definition of lost media, since everything we're aware of is known to exist in some form. Unless I'm forgetting/unaware about something.
There are some things that aren't widely available, though. There might be some script drafts that just haven't been released, since they usually aren't. There is a board game that wasn't mass-produced, but a few sets do exist. A couple of games (Blade Runner: Revelations and Blade Runner: Rogue) are no longer available for purchase, but still do exist in some form. The K.W. Jeter novels haven't been in print for years, but you can still find copies out there.
Partially due to the Writer's Strike, production on BR2099 has been delayed. Isn't expected to resume before spring 2024.

I'm surprised Ridley Scott isn't directing the pilot! But I guess he's got his hands full with Napoleon. Villeneuve probably won't direct because he's got all the Dune stuff going on, with Part Two in post-production and The Sisterhood (which he's exec. producing and directing the pilot) still happening.

New Year's resolution: Finish these damned books.
Got my hands on the full starter set and indeed, the events of Revelations seem to be retconned to 2022. I'll adjust the date on relevant articles soon.
EDIT: Or maybe not... one sentence in the starter set refers to the events as occurring in 2023. We can just stick with 2023 for now, I guess.
I'm starting to see some stuff from the RPG out and about. From what I can tell, the VR game Revelations now has a canon ending (two NPCs in the RPG die in one of the Revelations endings) and might be retconned from 2023 to 2022. Going to wait and see if more info is included in the full release to make any edits to that date on the Wiki. It might be getting a lot of retconning done to it since it's not even available anymore. Also the 1997 game is acknowledged!
There's an NPC or two that suggest connections to the Jeter novels... we'll see how that pans out.
Didn't comment on issues 2 and 3 because I felt the same about them as I did 1. But unfortunately, that's the same for issue 4.
Spoilers:
Just wasn't a fan of this run, which I ultimately feel was a clunky attempt to make a western with the BR universe and really didn't add much to Elle's character. I take no issue with the environmentalist message other than it was very ham-fisted. I also feel this last issue in particular is a bit sloppy. The opening blurb gets some details wrong, the "I did it for you, I always loved you" betrayal subplot comes out of nowhere and then doesn't go anywhere.
I hope whatever follow-up this gets is better.
Without spoiling, I just read the last(?) issue of the comic and it ends with a "Black Lotus will return..."
More likely another year of the comics than Season 2.
Yup, I love 2049! Still prefer the original, though.
I also feel Deckard being a replicant would ruin Roy Batty's story arc. He wouldn't be "more human than human" if Deckard was a replicant.
Great post. One of my favorite things about Dick's relationship with Blade Runner, according to Paul M. Sammon, is during the time Dick was dismissive of it, he would deridingly refer to it as "Road Runner."
Always makes me sad that he didn't get to see the finished film.
Somehow I've only just now heard about this, but apparently there was a mobile game? It was originally supposed to be a tie-in to 2049, but was later retitled Nexus and finally Rogue. Seems it was only released in a few countries, not including the US, so I'm unable to play it through normal means. I did try an Android emulator set to a location it was released in but the game wouldn't connect to the internet. And as far as I can tell, it hasn't been updated in a year and isn't even listed on the developer website anymore, so it might not even be playable or supported anymore.
Here's a gameplay video I found. Has anyone here played it?
Though I think the worst is that it definitely looks like it won't get a physical release... I own it digitally on Amazon, but there's no guarantee that I'll have access to it forever.
Kind of expected this, sadly. I guess they'll take any S2 ideas to the comic.
I'm sure we'll see Ridley Scott direct an episode or two. I wouldn't be surprised if his son Luke directed some, as he did two of the BR short films (and some Raised By Wolves, which I still need to watch at some point). Whether Villeneuve would be involved I guess would depend on when it goes into production. He's probably got his hands completely full with Dune: Part Two for the next year. But I'm also not sure if he's the type of director to take on one episode of a TV series unless it was the pilot, which I'm sure is reserved for Ridley.
As for the showrunner, Silka Luisa, the only thing I've seen that she's been involved with is the Halo show... which I really did not like. But her other work seems decent, so I'm not too worried there.
