Hello, I'm Unbound Beartic, I'm a movie critic. I'm into Science Fiction, Fantasy, Dystopian, Cyberpunk and AI Uprising Movies and Series. I've heard that Blade Runner is a great franchise with decent substance about AI Uprising, Consumerism and is Sci-Fi Masterpiece. Honestly, I love movies with this kind of Substance. I'm a huge fan of Terminator, The Wachowskis and many others.
However, I was disappointed when I saw both the Blade Runner Movies. They're both complete trash. The series is by far the worst Film Franchise I've ever seen.
First of all it's a terrible inaccurate and poorly designed adaptation of the book. It's unrecognizable to the source material. So why is anyone a fan of the films and content based on them. I don't see how anyone could care enough about the films to ever watch either of them for a second time. The Writing is really bad, The characters are poorly written. The acting is so wooden and fake. The action scenes of the second film suck. I'll admit I liked a couple shots in the end of the first one but it makes no sense that Roy's timer ends right during the climax of the film that's so poorly executed. The Execution of the series is terrible.
The plot is the biggest chunk of garbage I've ever scene. There is no setup, no payoff, no goals, no stakes, no urge. Both of the plots are worthless, Also the second film has the worst pacing I've ever seen. It's the Number 1 worst paced movie I've ever seen. And the story and plot does not make up for the 2 hour and 40 minute runtime at all. The plot of the film could barely take up a 70 minute film.
The Philosophy and themes are not good enough to warrant a decent franchise. I'd expect better from two cult classics with over 80 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and over 8.0 on imdb.com. I'm very confused that the internet is this gullible somebody please explain why they don't hate this film series.
