Straight from the horse's mouth. It appears the connections to Blade Runner didn't come from Peoples, but rather others involved with Soldier (such as director Paul W.S. Anderson).
So the question comes up again - should we keep Soldier included here? Personally I lean toward no at this point, since the connection adds up to just a collection of easter eggs. If we were to get rid of Soldier, I'd probably offload our few Soldier pages to another wiki devoted to Soldier, so it doesn't go to waste. I'd keep just the Soldier article since the BR connection is popular enough to warrant it.
Any thoughts from anyone else on this very active discussions board?

Hello, I'm Unbound Beartic, I'm a movie critic. I'm into Science Fiction, Fantasy, Dystopian, Cyberpunk and AI Uprising Movies and Series. I've heard that Blade Runner is a great franchise with decent substance about AI Uprising, Consumerism and is Sci-Fi Masterpiece. Honestly, I love movies with this kind of Substance. I'm a huge fan of Terminator, The Wachowskis and many others.
However, I was disappointed when I saw both the Blade Runner Movies. They're both complete trash. The series is by far the worst Film Franchise I've ever seen.
First of all it's a terrible inaccurate and poorly designed adaptation of the book. It's unrecognizable to the source material. So why is anyone a fan of the films and content based on them. I don't see how anyone could care enough about the films to ever watch either of them for a second time. The Writing is really bad, The characters are poorly written. The acting is so wooden and fake. The action scenes of the second film suck. I'll admit I liked a couple shots in the end of the first one but it makes no sense that Roy's timer ends right during the climax of the film that's so poorly executed. The Execution of the series is terrible.
The plot is the biggest chunk of garbage I've ever scene. There is no setup, no payoff, no goals, no stakes, no urge. Both of the plots are worthless, Also the second film has the worst pacing I've ever seen. It's the Number 1 worst paced movie I've ever seen. And the story and plot does not make up for the 2 hour and 40 minute runtime at all. The plot of the film could barely take up a 70 minute film.
The Philosophy and themes are not good enough to warrant a decent franchise. I'd expect better from two cult classics with over 80 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and over 8.0 on imdb.com. I'm very confused that the internet is this gullible somebody please explain why they don't hate this film series.
I am curious: Has there ever been lost media involved in this franchise, like a lost movie, a promotional video or photo, or a lost script, something like that?
Partially due to the Writer's Strike, production on BR2099 has been delayed. Isn't expected to resume before spring 2024.

I'm not sure if this has been done before but I'm new to this so I'm sorry if I'm going over old ground. What do you think everyday life would be like for those who are left behind on Earth and what would it be like for those living off world? I'm particularly fascinated by the lives of those still on Earth. Any thoughts?
I'm starting to see some stuff from the RPG out and about. From what I can tell, the VR game Revelations now has a canon ending (two NPCs in the RPG die in one of the Revelations endings) and might be retconned from 2023 to 2022. Going to wait and see if more info is included in the full release to make any edits to that date on the Wiki. It might be getting a lot of retconning done to it since it's not even available anymore. Also the 1997 game is acknowledged!
There's an NPC or two that suggest connections to the Jeter novels... we'll see how that pans out.
Am I allowed to mention my blogpost here? It's called 'What did Philip K Dick think of Blade Runner?' Obvs, this refers to his opinion of the pre-release film. Digest: He hated the first screenplay but loved the second one – and the special effects he saw.
Somehow I've only just now heard about this, but apparently there was a mobile game? It was originally supposed to be a tie-in to 2049, but was later retitled Nexus and finally Rogue. Seems it was only released in a few countries, not including the US, so I'm unable to play it through normal means. I did try an Android emulator set to a location it was released in but the game wouldn't connect to the internet. And as far as I can tell, it hasn't been updated in a year and isn't even listed on the developer website anymore, so it might not even be playable or supported anymore.
Here's a gameplay video I found. Has anyone here played it?
Looks like the craziness with Warner Brothers is also starting to affect Black Lotus. Too bad.

Not sure if anyone else will participate, so I'll let this thread suffice for the whole series rather than issue-by-issue (though expect to see my thoughts for each issue).
So the first issue... I'm not really feeling it, honestly. The setting is the biggest departure from previous Blade Runner stories and I'm not a huge fan of the art style compared to that of 2019/2029 and Origins.
Who knows, maybe I'll like it after re-reading it for editing purposes over the next few days. Or maybe the second issue will get me.
Regardless of whether I like it or not, at least this issue wasn't just a re-telling of the anime.
I know I said I'd wait for the Limited Run copy (I'll still get it) but I saw that it was only $10 to get it digitally on PS4.
Barely into it and the only problems I've had are with the cursor. It locks onto things that can be interacted with, whereas the original version gives the cursor free range at all times. Especially frustrating when doing the shooting range. And the cursor is way too damn slow in the Esper. So I hope they do something about that. Otherwise, it seems okay so far.
EDIT: Turning down 'Smoothing' in Input Options fixed this!
Not making this post an announcement since there's been no official word (I'm only posting this because Bloody Disgusting generally seems reliable, though I'm not sure about the Try Hard Guides post they link to), but it looks like we may get a new Blade Runner video game.
Ideally, I've always felt that something like L.A. Noire would be very fitting for Blade Runner, but I suppose we'll see what happens, if this is true.
Near the end of Origins #12, Cal indicates that his ideal Blade Runner is one that will eventually break and begin fighting for the replicants. The top and bottom panels are clearly nods to Deckard and K, respectively, but I don't recognize the one in the middle. It doesn't look like Ash or Joseph, so we've run out of options for Blade Runners who become sympathetic toward replicants. That is, unless we consider Ray McCoy (I suppose it could look like him), but his allegiances are player choice, and the image in the panel doesn't immediately connect to him, unless I'm forgetting something.
So who is it? The only other possibilities I can think of is either just a generic representation of a Blade Runner or someone we haven't met before (possibly from an upcoming comic?).
