"All We Are Not" is the second episode of the Blade Runner: Black Lotus anime.

"Haunted by traumatic memories, Elle recognizes a familiar face; upon tracking him down she uncovers a shocking truth about herself and her memories."

Official synopsis

Elle and Doc Badger wake Joseph and show him Elle's encrypted data device. He reluctantly agrees to help decrypt the device. As Joseph performs the decryption, Elle looks at the television, where a meeting between Senator Arthur Bannister and Niander Wallace, Sr. is televised. She recognizes Bannister as someone who once hunted her in the desert. She asks where to find Bannister, but Joseph offers no help, so she leaves the apartment with the data device.

Meanwhile, Officer Alani Davis confronts a suspect, Marko, who runs from her. After a pursuit, she manages to apprehend him. Elle tracks down Bannister to the Pickfair Hotel and steals a car to pursue him after he boards a spinner. Following him to a boxing arena, she manages to disable his security detail and confront him in his private balcony. Bannister informs Elle that she is a replicant and attacks her. Denying that she is a replicant and further recalling being hunted by Bannister, Elle manages to overpower him and drops him off the balcony, killing him.

Wallace and his son, Niander Wallace, Jr., play Go as the elder Wallace discusses the younger's lack of progress in memory development. Wallace Sr. then receives a call informing him of Bannister's death. Meanwhile, Officer Davis arrives at the scene of Bannister's death. She tries to stop Elle and notices her black lotus tattoo, but gives up to investigate the crime scene. Another police officer chases Elle down an alley and she manages to escape. In the alley, she experiences an upsetting and vivid flashback of being hunted in the desert alongside other replicants. She then sees Joseph approaching her. He raises a gun and shoots her, remarking "Definitely trouble."
