Blade Runner: Black Lotus is a 13-episode anime series based on the Blade Runner franchise. The series was produced by Sola Digital Arts with Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama directing all episodes. Shinichirō Watanabe – director of Blade Runner Black Out 2022 – served as a creative producer.

The series premiered on Adult Swim and Crunchyroll on November 14, 2021 and concluded on February 6, 2022. A sequel, in the form of a four-issue comic book, followed in late 2022.

The series received a behind-the-scenes book, The Art of Blade Runner: Black Lotus, which was released in November 2022.

Plot[]

In 2032, an amnesiac replicant called Elle wakes in the desert and makes her way to Los Angeles. As she rediscovers her identity and history, she swears revenge on a group of hunters who targeted her and others for sport.

Music[]

The anime's music is composed by Gerald Trottman and the opening theme of the anime is called "Feel You Now" performed by Alessia Cara. The Official Soundtrack includes the tracks "Water" by X Ambassadors and "By My Side" by A7S.

The anime also features the song, "Rescue Me" by Alesso and Danna Paola and artists Tori Kelly, G-Eazy, & Iann Dior, who make music contributions to the anime as well.[1]
