Plot[]

Mead examines Sayo's body, commenting on the stealth an precision of the killer, though denies to Rumika that Stix could have been responsible, since the manner of death does not match how he kills. Mead finds taxi receipts and dials a phone number.

In a Cheshire laboratory, tests are run upon Test Subject 23. Meanwhile, Rumika reports in learning that Cheshire has acquired scientists from the Tyrell Corporation. She is given orders to arrest the scientists or kill them if they resist. She goes to Mead's office, asking her about Stix and the suicide mission they performed in the war. Meads comments that Stix is the most human of any replicant she has met.

Mead secretly meets with Stix, who asks for her help in rescuing the replicant he saw the Yakuza kidnap. Mead warns him that Rumika is hunting him and Stix is discouraged to learn that Mead is working with Rumika. He quietly leaves as Mead explains that she is trying to help him. She chases after him, but eventually loses track of him when he causes an unstable structure to collapse behind him.

Mead leads Rumika to Cosmoworld, where Stix said the kidnapped replicant was. Mead catches Alura following them. Believing she sees Stix dead in a pile of garbage, Mead flies into a rage, mercilessly fighting a group of men that close in on them. Seeing Stix alive, Mead shoves Rumika, who says she is no longer after Stix. Stix approaches her, saying that Blade Runners will eventually come after all replicants.
