In a Cheshire laboratory, tests are run upon Test Subject 23. Meanwhile, Rumika reports in learning that Cheshire has acquired scientists from the Tyrell Corporation. She is given orders to arrest the scientists or kill them if they resist. She goes to Mead's office, asking her about Stix and the suicide mission they performed in the war. Meads comments that Stix is the most human of any replicant she has met.
Mead secretly meets with Stix, who asks for her help in rescuing the replicant he saw the Yakuza kidnap.
