Buster Friendly was the host of Buster Friendly and His Friendly Friends, a very popular radio and television show in San Francisco.

Friendly was an android, a fact that was unknown to humans.[1]
Friendly's show – which aired in twenty-three hour blocks – achieved its popularity by 1992/2021 and was broadcast on television and radio in the San Francisco area. On the show, he would give weather forecasts and would have guests, to discuss specific topics. One regular guest was actress Amanda Werner.
Friendly was notable for his criticism of Mercerism and organized an exposé on the religion, revealing its falsehoods to his audience, many of whom had followed Mercerism.[1]

Friendly appears in Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and its comic book adaptation. He has no equivalent Blade Runner character.
