The colonization program was organized by the U.N. shortly before World War Terminus, aimed at populating regions outside of Earth. The war brought a new phase to the program, particularly with the introduction of androids, one of which was given to each person who emigrated. A radioactive dust that remained in the atmosphere made colonization a necessity for many. Among the lands settled by the program was the planet Mars.[1]
