Elvis Presley was a singer. By the year 2049, Rick Deckard resided in an abandoned Las Vegas casino where a hologram of Presley would perform.

That year, Blade Runner K found Deckard. The two fought as the hologram malfunctioned while performing "Suspicious Minds." The skirmish continued until the hologram began performing "Can't Help Falling in Love," a song Deckard liked.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Elvis Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was an American singer and actor, best known for pioneering rockabilly and rock and roll music. A cultural icon of the 20th century, he was often referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll" or simply "the King."

Elvis tribute artist Ben Thompson portrayed the hologram of Presley in Blade Runner 2049, though his face was replaced with that of the real Elvis.
