Kipple was a term that referred to the debris that naturally built up around a society when not enough people were willing to participate in maintaining the environment.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The term was coined by Philip K. Dick for use in his novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? The term is not used in the film adaptation, Blade Runner, but appears in the 1997 video game of the same name.
