By the year 2036, a group of lawmakers worked for the Los Angeles government.
That year, the magistrates held a meeting with Niander Wallace, who proposed lifting the ban on replicant production, bringing with him a completely obedient Nexus-9 replicant. Wallace demonstrated the replicant's compliance by ordering him to cut himself, then decide between taking is own life or Wallace's. The shocked lawmakers watched as the replicant decided to take his own life instead of his creator's. This display convinced the government to lift the replicant prohibition.[1]
