Los Angeles initially appears in Blade Runner. The novel it is adapted from, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, instead takes place in San Francisco. A draft of Blade Runner's script, dated July 24, 1980, places the film in San Angeles.
The original theatrical trailer for Blade Runner states that Los Angeles has a population of 106,000,000.
