Sayo was a resident of Tokyo who sought out Stix and Mead to help find her sister, Miyuki.
Biography[]
Sayo found the detectives at a takoyaki stand, explaining that she could pay for their services. Because Stix excused himself after learning of potential Yakuza involvement in the case, Sayo primarily gave details to Mead, including the fact that her parents had a number of rivals who were thought to be behind recent deaths of their business affiliates, rumored to be carried out by a replicant.[1]
An American Blade Runner, Rumika, visited Mead and Sayo, inquiring about Stix's whereabouts, believing him to be a rogue replicant. When Miyuki turned up murdered, Mead attempted to calm Sayo's worries that Stix was responsible. After Sayo identified the body, she went with Mead and Rumika to Miyuki's apartment. Sayo was fatally shot by an arrow, blaming Stix in her dying breath.[2]
