Off-world: The Blade Runner Wiki

Stix was a combat model replicant and veteran of Kalanthia who formed a private detective business with his comrade, Mead.

Biography[]

During his military service, Stix would kill his targets mercifully by stabbing their heart through their spine, ensuring an instant death.[1] When he and Mead were given orders to embark on a suicide mission, they went AWOL and stole data on the Aurora Program, which sought to create a reproducible replicant designed for killing.[2]

By 2015, the two resided in Tokyo, where they had earned something of a reputation for themselves.[3]

On one occasion, Stix arrived late to a confrontation between Mead and a hostile gang, eliminating them. They went to a takoyaki stand to eat, where they were approached by Sayo, a young woman in search of her sister, Miyuki. As they discussed the case, Stix became averse to it due to potential Yakuza connections and excused himself.[3]

Stix went to the Undercity, where he helped Kaito pass out rations and encountered Yagi, a former ally whose actions had previously caused several deaths, prompting hostility from Stix. Yagi explained that there were rumors abound concerning a prototype war replicant created by Cheshire.[3]

Stix witnessed a replicant being abducted by Yakuza. After chasing them down and confronting them, the replicant was nowhere to be found. As the Yakuza joked about their victim, Stix reacted violently, punching one of the men in the face.[1]

Mead later witnessed Stix fleeing from the scene of Sayo's murder by arrow.[1]

Stix secretly met with Mead, asking for her help in rescuing the replicant from Cosmoworld. However, he learned that the Blade Runner Rumika was after him. Dismayed to learn that Mead was working with Rumika, he fled, eventually losing Mead by causing a structure to collapse behind him.[4]

Stix encountered a group of men near Cosmoworld, fighting them. After incapacitating the last one, he approached Rumika, stating that Blade Runners would come after all replicants eventually.[4] Stix helped Mead eliminate the last of the men, prompting Takumi – Miyuki and Sayo's brother – to confront them. However, he was promptly shot in the head by Alura, a Yakuza boss. Alura offered to extend Stix's life is he helped her find the data for the Aurora Program. He convinced Mead to help him with this assignment.[2]
