Taffey was played by [[Hy Pyke]]. An interesting bit of trivia is that although [[Ridley Scott]] is a notorious perfectionist when it comes to shooting and reshooting scenes, Hy Pyke managed to play Taffey perfectly in one take. Taffey Lewis was the owner of The Snake Pit in the Fourth Sector of Los Angeles.

Biography[]

In November 2019, Deckard tried to ask Lewis about his use of artificial snakes, Taffey denied using them, claiming he only used real ones. Deckard's threats did not wash with him and he dismissed Deckard with a free drink before leaving.[1]

Later that night, Deckard retired Zhora, a replicant who was employed by the club.[1] Lewis capitalized upon this newfound infamy and remained in business as of 2037.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Taffey was played by Hy Pyke. The video game misspells his first name as Taffy. He subsequently appeared as an NPC in Blade Runner: The Roleplaying Game.

Although Ridley Scott is a notorious perfectionist when it comes to shooting and reshooting scenes, Hy Pyke managed to play Taffey perfectly in one take. It was also Hy Pyke's suggestion that Taffey Lewis sit at the bar. Pyke, being a comedian, observed that club owners would sit at the end of the bar, calling it their "power position."
