I'm amazed to have found this extensive, probing review of a movie I love very much. I've heard that Gaff's Unicorn origami was proof that Deckard was a replicant. Tying in Deckard's dream of a Unicorn with Gaff's origami at the end doesn't matter with me because Deckard wasn't central to how I was effected. I was much younger when Blade Runner was released and I'm not happy about growing old, drawing nearer to the end of my life, always wondering what my purpose is. Roy and Tyrell were stand-ins for me and God. The allegory of subject meeting maker; that was the genius of this film for me. I read books written by theoretical physicist Brian Greene to find God, through the latest evidence, and all I'll ever find are traces. God is my elusive Unicorn.
